How to learn with this site
Five minutes now will save you hours later. Everything below is also how the books recommend you study.
The method: seven steps in every chapter
- 1. Quick Look
The rule and its formula in a single glance.
- 2. When to Use It
Every use, each with real example sentences.
- 3. Hindi Concept Note
The bridge from the Hindi you think in.
- 4. Common Mistakes
What Hindi speakers get wrong — and exactly why.
- 5. Signal Words
The clue words that point to the rule.
- 6. Practice
Questions you can answer, check and repeat.
- 7. Answer Key
Explained answers for every single question.
A study routine that works
- 1Study one chapter at a time, in order — later chapters build on earlier ones.
- 2Read the Hindi Concept Note even if your English is strong — it shows you WHY the mistake happens.
- 3Do all the practice sets before opening the Answer Key. Writing beats reading.
- 4Finish with the 30-day plan and self-tests — and record yourself on Day 1 so Day 30 has something to beat.
One chapter a day is a comfortable pace. Revisit each module’s Grand Review monthly — the master maps were designed as permanent one-page revision.
Practice, the way it works here
- Fill-in answers are checked the moment you press Enter. Contractions are understood: “didn’t” counts as “did not”.
- Full-sentence answers (translations and corrections) are compared with the model answer; you then mark yourself — because good English has more than one correct sentence.
- Sound-and-spelling drills ask you to think first, then Show answer and mark yourself honestly.
- Scores are kept for every set. Missed questions come back in the Daily Quiz.
Listening
Look for the buttons beside examples, words and verbs. Open Aa in the top bar to choose an American, British or Indian English voice and your speaking speed. Voices come from your device, so what you hear depends on your browser and operating system.
